When I was a teenager, my dad gave me leather braided Cole Haan belt that was his that no longer fit. At my wedding (almost six years ago!), I wore a pair of caramel colored Cole Haan wingtips–perfect dancing shoes. My closet has about four pairs of Cole Haan boots. So to say I’m a Cole Haan advocate would be an understatement. They are quality, comfortable shoes and have a variety of styles for work or play, day or night.

To show just how versatile Cole Haan shoes are (even though you could just go browse my Instagram), I styled two looks. One is more of a daytime look–an outfit I’d definitely be caught running around in on the weekends doing super cool things. Or just buying diapers. #dadlife
The other is a look I’ve actually worn out to dinner–sweater polos, cropped trousers and a chunky wingtip for the win.
A Daytime Look
For the daytime look, I combined all my favorite things. Skinny, yet comfortable jeans are a must. If you aren’t into skinny, opt for a slim but nothing too baggy. I paired the jeans with a classic, clean white tee (something, if you check in here often enough, you’ll know I’m addicted to). I added an over-sized shawl-collar cardigan for a fall touch. No outfit is complete without the right shoe and these leather chukka boots are perfect.
The muted gray of the boots plays nicely with the rest of the outfit. Plus, the sporty detailing of the boots lends itself well for a casual daytime look. Even though I’d definitely wear these to the office with a trouser.

An Evening Look
Nothing beats black when it comes to dressing for an evening out. I wore this outfit out to dinner recently and it worked out great. Cropped black trousers and the sweater polo, while simple, work together for a cohesive pulled together look. The black Cole Haan ZERØGRAND wingtips work great!
For one, the ZERØGRAND wingtips are incredibly comfortable–they feature a lightweight foam insole and outsole that make it feel like the shoes were custom made for you. Plus, I love the look of these–the thick sole and break and flex grooves give the shoe a truly unique look. I’m a huge fan!
