Summer is officially here and it’s already showing no mercy it seems. There’s an intense heatwave here on the west coast… Whatever happened to easing in Mother Nature? Sheesh. I shouldn’t really complain, because I’ve been ready for the heat for a while, but transitioning with a nice day in the eighties versus the high nineties would have been nice. Either way, it’s warm and I’m not mad about it. Keeping cool while looking cool in the summer can sometimes be difficult, especially if you’re trying to put together a polished look. A polo is the perfect piece to rock when the temps are high but you are looking for a sophisticated, yet simple look this summer.
A polo is a man’s best friend (the non-furry kind) when it comes to dressing well in the warmer months. Polos bring a refined feel with the comfort and weight of a t-shirt making them the perfect thing to wear right about now. I love the contrast detail on the collar and sleeves–it gives the polo an almost vintage feel without that thrift store smell.
Normally you think light, bright colors for summer, but these olive-green shorts are working for me. Just because it’s summer doesn’t mean you have to dress in neon colors (even though, if you want to, by all means go ahead and rock it). I love that they are long enough to cuff making them an adjustable piece that I can wear a ton of different ways. Combined, the polo
