Holiday Gift Guide: Last-Minute Gifts

We are officially less than 10 days away from Christmas so if you haven’t gotten your gift shopping done (I’m raising my hand) here are a few last-minute gifts to pick up for any guy on your list.

Booze

When in doubt, booze it up. At least that’s my motto. Not sure if it’s the greatest, but it’s worked well for me so far. Need a last-minute gift? Hit up your local liquor store and pick them up a cool bottle of their favorite type of booze. They love scotch? Try a cool new Japanese scotch. Love gin? A small-batch from a hip new distillery is just what Santa ordered. It’s easy and they’ll definitely use it so it’s a win-win.

Socks

I know it sounds cliche but getting socks isn’t really a bad thing anymore. There are tons of cool styles out there and no matter his style he’ll appreciate a fresh new pair of socks. For the gym or athleisure seeking dude, go with a pair from Neon Bandits or this pair from Soxfords. They’re great for transitioning from working out and then grabbing a casual bite to eat with friends. For the guy who’s not afraid to stand out, pick him up a pair from WCR CO. They’re classic and make a great stocking stuffer.

Favorite Accessory

If he loves ties, get him a tie. If he loves scarves, get him a scarf. I love bracelets; I wear at least two every day. Personally, I’m loving these leather bracelets from Bryer Leather and they’d make the perfect gift for any stylish man. Throw one in his stocking or wrap up a box of them.

Planner

Everybody, and I mean everybody, thinks they’ll use a planner come January 1st. Get him a nice classic black one from Moleskin (you can still order on Amazon). I used this one from Shinola all of 2016 and loved it. It’s a great gift that they’ll like even if they stop using it after January 12th.

Gift Cards

I personally HATE giving gift cards as gifts. They seem so impersonal and lackluster. However, people love them and as long as they’re to something someone will actually use then they are a great gift idea. Plus, they make great last-minute gifts. Here’s the trick: give them a gift card to something they wouldn’t normally buy themselves. For example, by a gift card on spafinder.com. My dad got my wife and I one last year and we used it to get massages while we were on vacation. It was the best! Plus they can use them at gyms, yoga studios, nail studios, hair salons, etc. A great gift! Or get them a gift card from a home cleaning service. The gift of not having to clean your place? Umm, yes please!

If these last-minute gifts don’t please I’m not sure what will. Have a guy who has everything already? Check out my gift guide I did for One Upped Magazine.
