A Memorial Day Look As Smart As It Is Stylish

I’m writing this and there are hardly any clouds in the sky right now. It’s a warm seventy something day in So Cal and it’s perfect. If I was being 100% honest, I could do without the slightly overcast mornings we’ve been having but I’m spoiled. Sending anyone reading this from somewhere cool or, heaven forbid, snowy some warm California vibes. Memorial Day is just around the corner and it’s basically the kickoff to summer. What is Memorial Day for you? For me it’s always been about BBQs, hot dogs, sunny days, refreshing cocktails… the list sounds nice right? It’s an all-American holiday (rightfully so, given what we’re celebrating), and an all-American holiday deserves a clean-cut, classic look. Enter the polo.

Polos are a classic piece that every guy has in their closet, and if you don’t, now’s the time to pick one up because they’re essential to your spring/summer wardrobe. This one is made from this super cool material that’s antimicrobial and anti-odor absorbing. So if you’re a sweater (raises own hand), this shirt’s the one for you. Plus, it’s lightweight and breathable which is great for summer days or nights spent outdoors. I paired it with these classic navy shorts (cuffed for added shortness) and cognac cap toe oxfords… Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m sort of feeling like preppy classic styling is making a comeback? I’m going to go with that. Or it’s that I look like I could blend in with the Southern Charm crowd, which by the way, my wife and I are obsessed with. Either way, I’m digging it.
