Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and accompanying holiday weekend! I am happy to report that mine was not only full of delicious food and good times, but something even rarer. Cold weather and rain have finally come into my life. Yep, that’s right. This weekend was full of cold weather and rainy days. It was the perfect backdrop for decorating our Christmas tree (yes, we already got a tree) and putting up Christmas lights. It was also the perfect weather to put my new camel topcoat to use and man oh man, it did not disappoint. The weather was so cold and this coat from Banana Republic was the perfect way to enjoy the first truly wintery weekend of the season.
I’m excited to get some serious use of this coat because I’ve been in the market for a camel coat for the last year or so. Camel coats have become an absolute outerwear necessity in recent years. They’re highly versatile because the color lends itself well to casual or dressier looks. I love it layered over this classic white button down and paired with jeans (so comfortable by the way). If it’s not the epitome of a classically stylish look I don’t know what is. It’s a no-fail combination that every guy can pull off. I’m looking forward to wearing the coat casually as well. Layered over jeans and a long-sleeve tee? It’s going to look great!
