Fall Style With #TheSocialGents

Last weekend I had the opportunity to meet up with a stylish group of gents at the Meat District Co. in Pasadena. It’s a great group of guys and each has their unique sense of style so it was great to get to meet up. We’ve all been “Insta-friends” for forever but to get to meet them all in the flesh was pretty awesome.

I struggled to think of what to wear to the event. For one, this is one styling group! Most of the guys went with blazers which I 100% respect because it was nearly 100 degrees that day. Sure, 100 degrees in the “fall” should really come as no surprise in so cal, but for someone who sweats easily, it makes it difficult. I’m not much of a suit guy and it was so hot so I followed my own fall style transition advice. I opted to go with a layered look.

This Topman jacket because it can be worn year round. The maroon chinos were a great way to create a fall color palette. The accessories were where I had a little fun. I added the vintage handkerchief clipped with a tie bar for something a little different. Side note: have fun and take risks. That’s what personal style is all about! My new favorite Rockport double monk strap shoes were the perfect finishing touch. And you know what? The outfit was actually pretty perfect even though it was so hot. It was a good mix of fall style and staying cool.

If you aren’t following all the guys in #TheSocialGents, you need to be. Head to my Instagram and find this picture and follow them all. You’ll be glad you did!
