Comfort + Joy

What is Christmas to you? To me, it’s a lot of things. It’s spending quality time with friends and family. Eating tons of food and enjoying delicious cocktails (clean eating can wait until January). But it’s also about taking some time to relax and recharge. My wife and I realized it was the last weekend before all the Christmas craziness so some much-needed relaxation was needed. And what better way to do that than spending a day in comfy sweats, sipping coffee and watching Food Network’s Holiday Baking Championship. Side note, have you seen it? My wife and I are obsessed with Food Network right now! But, back to what I was saying… The holiday season can be so hectic and busy. It starts with Thanksgiving and just speeds on through to the new year. There are parties, gift shopping, work functions, my birthday is thrown in there… the list is endless. So a Sunday spent inside relaxing by the Christmas tree is sometimes the best thing. It gives you time to reflect on the year a bit.

I spent this past weekend in these beyond-comfy sweatpants from Old Navy enjoying a calm Sunday. The sweatpants are great because they aren’t too thick. I hate thick, too-warm sweats. I don’t actually want to sweat every time I wear sweatpants, you know? Plus, I love the trendy side stripe up the side. It’s the perfect amount of detail. Because let’s be real, comfort is important but still look nice. The sweater hoodie is amazing! It’s so cozy, and talk about comfort! I can see I’m going to be wearing this all the time, at home, at work, in a box, with a fox… you get the idea. It’s great.

After this weekend, I feel like I’m ready to power through the rest of this holiday season. I’m energized, refreshed and ready to spread some holiday cheer! Then it’ll be 2018. Are you ready for it?
