STYLE

Dark + Stormy

It’s finally cooled off (sort of) here in California! You know that emoji with the hallelujah, praise Jesus hands? That’s what I’ve been walking around doing. Drawing some interesting looks from people, that’s for sure. But seriously though, it’s cooled off and it finally feels like fall has arrived.

A Fashionable (Yet Simple) Fall Outfit

First thing I did when the weather dipped into the sixties? Busted out this brand new turtleneck from Banana Republic. Sure, it’s a little wintery for sunny weather, but I’m okay with that. I paired it with these oh-so-cool cropped jeans from Dr. Denim. The cropped pant trend is one I’ve been wanting to try out for a while (tried it successfully once here) and I love how these ones fit. Plus, what would I do with another boring pair of full-length pants? The cropped style adds a little variety to my wardrobe and I like having options.

Since I was on the dark and stormy train, I went all in. Paired my favorite Style by Orion socks (my own sock brand in case you were curious) with these high top sneakers from Rockport. The sneakers are pretty amazing, especially if you’re as on-the-go (see: Lazy) as me. They lace up the front so you can get the perfect bunny ears, but then they zip up the inside. I’ll tell you what–that saved me a good thirty seconds getting dressed. Thirty seconds over a million days that I’ll be alive and these shoes just gave me an extra day or two of life I think. Love it (doing the praise Jesus hands again).

Sort of digging the darker, more dramatic look. Thoughts? Let me know by commenting below or on Instagram. Have a great day friends!
