Fall in the Nineties

It’s been blazing hot here. And I’m not even exaggerating. In true California fashion, Fall has been signified by summer temps in the nineties. But, because I love you guys so much (or is it because I’m impatient to wear my new fall outfit), I’m ventured out into the heat so I could share my new goods from Old Navy with you. They have so much good stuff right now!

First off, I had to get the California tee. It’s lightweight so it’s perfect for the fall weather we’re having here in California right now. So sad, but true. I almost opted to add a red and black buffalo check shirt that they had because nothing’s more fall than red and black buffalo check. However, I went with the green and navy. The nineties are back in a big way. Pastel colors, high tops, light wash jeans… And as a nineties kid myself, I’m loving it. The old tying-the-shirt-around-the-waist trick is not only practical but also stylish again. As a kid I ran around with sweatshirts and shirts tied around my waist like a little nerd and it’s back guys. Now I always have a layer with me but I can look super cool too.

The whole look is completed with these jeans. The wash is a great middle tone blue and they have Old Navy’s built-in flex which makes them super comfortable and they move with you. No more being constricted by your pants, which, if you’re like me and wear slimmer cuts, is a godsend.

Everyone send happy, positive thoughts that California temps will dip into the seventies so we can all start wearing fall clothes. Thanks!
