So Much For Sweater Weather

It’s officially sweater weather. And by sweater weather, I mean “sweat”er weather. It has been in the eighties (sometimes nineties) still in Southern California. In order to indulge in a little fall fashion I’ve taken to light layers. This crewneck merino sweater is lightweight and hangs nicely away from the body so it’s perfect for when the temps are a little high. Plus, I think the color makes it the perfect transitional piece. The best part about merino wool is that it’s highly breathable. Perfect for those of us that run warm and risk overheating, especially when you’re forcing fall and it still feels like summer.

My next few looks coming to Brick+Vine revolve around sweaters because in all actuality, it is in fact sweater weather. Even if no one told California (so dumb, right?). You’d think I’d be used to it by now. I’ve lived here my entire life and it hasn’t changed all that much. But here I am, sweating in a sweater, wishing I was somewhere cooler but not wanting to eve move. I think about that sometimes–maybe I’d want to move somewhere else? I can’t think of anywhere I’d think I’d like to live. Maybe New York? There’s something about that that has some appeal. And there’s something about it that sounds awful. Regardless, I’d definitely find something to gripe about wherever I was so might as well stay put. LOL!

Check back for tons of fun ways to rock sweaters of all kinds in the coming week or two. And if there’s anything in particular you’d like to see this season, drop me a DM on Instagram. So far, I’ve got a fun feature talking about boots coming up too. Anything else? Let me know!
