I’m sure I’ve told you this before, but if not, here it goes… I used to work at a conservative financial company (eww, mortgages) where my dress code was the worst possible thing. It entailed business dress code. No suit was required but boring check shirts there were abundant. Since it was conservative, wearing something colorful or with a fun print warranted some head turning. Then I got my job now which is super relaxed and laid-back with a casual dress code. We’re a block from the beach so it’s nice to be able to wear jeans and t-shirts. I’m even thinking I can get away with wearing shorts to the office this summer, but still trying to wrap my mind around that. Regardless, it’s a pretty sweet gig in that respect.
So because i haven’t ventured to shorts territory yet this summer, I’ve been wearing jeans and a t-shirt pretty much every day. If you follow me on Instagram and check out my OOTD in my Instagram Story you can attest to that fact. I’ve been loving wearing these light wash, baggier jeans. They were from Gap’s reissue of some of their classic styles and they’re amazing. Reminds me of the acid wash, straight leg jeans I wore as a kid and it’s awesome. They pair perfectly with this dusty rose-colored t-shirt which I’ve been wearing non-stop. Seriously, I think I’ve stocked up on like five versions of this color. And to be honest, I’m not showing any signs of stopping.
Switching gears, but it’s definitely still related to summer, I put together a Summer Vibes playlist on Spotify for ya’ll. I’ve always put music to moments or memories in my mind. In some ways I sort of wish I had pursued a career in music. My dream job would have been putting together movie or television soundtracks. Sitting in a room, watching something and putting the perfect song there to enhance it… dream job! Not sure if that’s how it works or not, but that’s how I picture it going. Anyways, I put together a Summer playlist that’s been acting as my soundtrack to this summer. Give it a listen and follow me on Spotify for even more music!
