I spent this past weekend working an event (for my day job) and lucky for me it took place on the beach. I spent 4 days in the sand, no shoes soaking in the sunshine and the occasional rainstorm. That’s Southern California weather for you. It renewed my appreciation for living in California. It also made me excited to spend some more time at the beach as the weather keeps warming up.
I used to think getting dressed for warmer months was difficult. It always seemed so boring–the same combination time after time. Shorts and a t-shirt. Shorts and a short sleeve shirt. Repeat, repeat, repeat. It’s probably because my personal style has evolved over the years, but I’m excited about having some fun with my spring style right now. Expanding outside of the usual shorts and t-shirt has allowed me to get a little more adventurous and try some new looks. This long-sleeve sweatshirt shirt (not sure what you’d call it exactly) is amazing! I’m going to wear it so much–one of the best purchases I’ve made so far this season.
A couple of weekends ago I went out hunting for a few new pairs of shorts. Over the years I’ve collected quite a stack of them but I wanted to add a couple more to my collection. These mint green ones are perfect for adding a subtle pop of color. Not to mention they are the epitome of spring style.
