It’s officially winter! And unlike past years, this year in Southern California has been unusually cool. We’ve had a decent amount of cooler days, and by cooler I mean in the sixties (sorry guys). Plus, we’ve even had some rain! Can you believe it? All of this to say that outerwear has actually played a role in my wardrobe which has been great since I love coats. Now I know that a lot of the country is either under snow or has actual cold weather where coats are a necessity, but in California if it drops below 65 degrees you are well within coat-wearing weather.
I wore this look to run around getting all my last-minute Christmas shopping done this past weekend. Proud to say that I’m officially done. I actually enjoy being out in the hustle and bustle of the holiday crowds but you’ve just got to be prepared for what to expect. Lines are long. People can be annoying. One way to combat it is to make sure you’re comfortable. I wore these Rockport wingtips because they looked nice and I knew I could run around in them all day. And that’s really the most important thing if you’re going to be combatting the holiday crowds. That and endless cups of hot coffee. Check and check.
