A Perfect Pair

In some ways my wife and I could be considered opposites. She’s an early to bed early to rise sort of gal. I’m a night owl who loves sleeping in (though I usually regret it when I haven’t done anything and it’s noon). But in some ways we are essentially the same exact person and we have so many interests that line up. The most obvious to anyone who knows us is that we are completely and utterly addicted to clothing. Our closets are overflowing and we could sit and debate about whose wardrobe is more out of control but let’s just say there are no winners (or are we both winners?). Regardless, there is no doubt that we have a shared interest in clothing. And I’m not quite sure how it happens but whenever we leave the house together we inevitably end up wearing outfits that are similar. Whether it’s a similar color palette or comparable pieces we somehow always end up accidentally mirroring each other. No joke, without knowing, the day that my wife decided to pull out a pair of white denim this summer was the day I decided to dust mine off and rock them as well. It’s actually quite convenient really. A little coordination never hurt anybody and together we can set the tone no matter where we go.

We are, and always will be stylishly in sync and the other day was no exception. We both chose to rock a neutral look to make our new shoes stand out. I mean when they’re decked out in colors like these you can’t help but want to show them off. Our neutral looks played well off of each other, her in a tan midi skirt and classic striped tee and me in a soft blue trouser with a cream sweater. My mustard-soled suede oxfords and her bright blue suede pumps while pretty opposite work oh so well together, much like us. Finding your perfect pair can be a challenge unless you’re looking for a new pair of shoes 😉
