On Fire For Fall

Today is officially the first day of fall and there are signs of it all around. It’s already getting darker earlier for one. At night it is definitely cooling off which could be seen as a sign that fall is here. Perhaps the most obvious sign that autumn is upon us is the obsession with everything pumpkin coming back out of hibernation. However, regardless of what date or season the calendar says it is, it is still hitting the high eighties here and that calls for some serious transitional style choices. It’s too warm to dive head first into pants, sweaters, scarves, and jackets so in the meantime a classic jean and tee look is as good as it’s going to get.

These khaki colored jeans are the perfect piece for a transitional look. They capture that “the leaves are changing” color palette and spice (pumpkin spice?) things up now that I’m ready for a change. I chose to stick with a classic white tee because A) it’s classic (hello) and; B) it kept me cool out and about in the hellish sun (apparently no one told the sun to cool it yet). An easy way to transition to fall was to dig these leather chukkas out of the back of my closet (a scary place) and let them see the light of day. Side note: boots are one of my favorite things about fall and this year I have got some goodies to start sharing with you so stay tuned!

Fall is my all time favorite season so I just want to the sun to cool it (literally) so I can start dressing for it. Until then these small style choices will have to do.
