Sailor stripes are a spring style staple and are the perfect way to always be on trend without trying too hard. You can pretty much always justify adding another striped anything to your closet because you’ll always be able to get some wear out of it. They are a simple way to add some visual interest without having to put too much effort in. Another can’t-go-wrong spring style choice is anything and everything blue. I went a little overboard on the blue front recently (check it here), but, again, blue is a style staple, especially in the spring. A really easy way for me to get dressed on days when I don’t want to think too hard about it is to keep it monochromatic and wear all shades/tones of the same color. That’s what I went for here, pairing my new striped navy sweater with these bright, cobalt chinos. I was going to go for a white sneaker but I opted for these Cat Footwear Quinton boots and I think they break up the otherwise pretty preppy outfit. After getting some decent wear out of this sweater already I’m thinking I might need to pick up the cream version as well… Always a good decision right?
