Recently my wife and I were lucky enough to inherit a barbecue that was no longer wanted and, not wanting to spend money unnecessarily (who would?), we welcomed it with open arms. It made itself right at home out on our balcony. Of course almost instantly I began to contemplate which protein we should christen it with when my wife decided we were making chicken gyros. Now I am all up for new things and rarely do I complain when someone does the thinking for me when it comes to dinner but chicken gyros hadn’t exactly come to mind when running down my mental list of go-to BBQ meals.
Needless to say I didn’t want them. Needless to say we had them. Needless to say they were delicious.
